JOB SUMMARY: 

The Sales Manager performs her duties under the general guidance and supervision of the Sales & Guest Relations Manager of Constance Ephelia.

Responsible for locally promoting profitable sales of available accommodation, Food & Beverage special events, Constance Uspa offers as well as any other resort facility by means of electronic mail, printed matter or sales calls

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conform to the company’s Policies & Procedures
  • Correctly interact with the Executive Committee or Head of Department levels as required
  • Attend related Sales & Marketing Communications Meetings organized by the Sales & Guest Relations Manager
  • Promote resort facilities and activities through site inspections and entertainment of clients in the hotel
  • Handle electronic and printed correspondence, responding within 24 hours
  • Maintain the departmental electronic filing system to ensure that all marketing and promotional collaterals and event information is current and easily available internally and to the international sales team
  • Control inventory of collateral
  • Order all office supplies for the department and ensures properly stocking levels
  • Make sure that all material and equipment made available to the Sales & Marketing department is correctly used
  • Maintain records for all VIPs, special requests, photo shoots etc
  • Ensure smooth working relationship between Constance Ephelia Seychelles and all wholesales agents, reservation and GSOs, local partners as well as FITs, such as repeaters or VIP guests to Constance Hotels
  • Ensure good working relationship with all local and international travel agents and corporate accounts
  • Make any suggestion likely to better adapt services to local markets expectations
  • Manage Groups & Incentive daily tasks such as handling groups and incentive, administrative functions, advertising activities, etc
  • Manage Groups & Incentive Coordinator with data entry of definite and tentative groups for the monthly forecast
  • Manage Groups & Incentive tasks such as finalizing group and incentive business – both local and international, detailing the meeting/function with the client (space requirements, times, menus, themes, etc.)
  • Produce monthly Sales & Marketing reports in detail of all sales activities and results
  • Handle special projects and other responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Qualification and experience 

  • Hotel school graduate or Diploma holder with experience of hotel industry. A management course qualification in Sales & Marketing will be a definite advantage.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in Head of Department level management of Front office operations/ Sales & Marketing/Guest Relations preferably in Luxury 5* Resort/hotel
  • Experience working in top of the range luxury resorts, with refined personalized guest service in tropical locations will constitute a definite advantage.
  • Knowledge of Opera/Fidelio preferred
  • Must be focused towards customer experiences and delivering top of the line holiday plans to guests
  • Experience in making budgets & managing expenses
  • Computer literate, be able to formulate power point presentations, excel and word documents
  • Fluent in English and French, any other foreign language will be a plus.
